Privacy
BassCam was designed to minimize collection of personal information.
BassCam does not require an account to use its core functionality.
Media selected for use with BassCam is intended to be processed locally on your device whenever technically possible.
BassCam does not intentionally retain copies of your selected audio or video files on BassCam-controlled servers unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise before the transfer occurs.
BassCam does not sell personal information.
BassCam does not use your uploaded media to train artificial-intelligence models.
BassCam does not use your media for advertising.
BassCam does not intentionally create advertising profiles based on your activity.
Local Browser Data
BassCam may use browser storage such as localStorage or IndexedDB to remember local preferences, application settings, or locally saved project information.
This information remains associated with the user’s browser/device unless a feature explicitly states otherwise.
Users can remove locally stored information by clearing BassCam site data through their browser, or by using the “Erase all data” control on the Projects page.
Specifically, BassCam stores on your device:
- IndexedDB — project records (name, settings, timestamps) and the audio / video files you select, stored as blobs so your work survives a page reload.
- localStorage — small UI preferences such as the last opened project and dismissal of the first-use privacy message.
- Cookies — BassCam sets no cookies of its own.
Audio, Video and Exports
Audio decoding, frequency/bass analysis, visualization, video compositing and MP4 export all run inside your browser using the Web Audio API, Canvas and MediaRecorder. Your songs, videos, project timelines and exported files are never uploaded to a BassCam server. Exports are saved directly by your browser to your device.
If you use the “System audio” or “Microphone” input modes, that audio is captured by your browser, analyzed locally, and is not recorded or transmitted by BassCam.
Technical Hosting Information
Even when BassCam itself does not create user accounts or store projects, the infrastructure used to deliver the website may automatically receive limited technical information necessary to provide and protect the service.
This can include information such as:
- IP address
- browser type
- operating system
- request time
- requested page
- diagnostic or security information
BassCam does not use this information to create advertising profiles.
Cookies
BassCam does not use advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies.
If analytics, advertising cookies, or other non-essential tracking are later added, this policy will be updated and any consent mechanism required will be implemented before those technologies are enabled.
Third Parties
BassCam loads no analytics, advertising, session-recording, error-tracking or fingerprinting services. The third parties involved in delivering the site are:
- The web host / CDN serving basscamclips.com — receives the standard technical request information listed above in order to deliver and protect the site.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — your browser requests the display typefaces from Google, which receives your IP address and browser information as part of that request. No BassCam project data is sent.
Children
BassCam is a general-audience entertainment and creative application and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
BassCam does not knowingly request personal information from children under 13.
If features are later added that create accounts, collect personal information, enable social interaction, or store user-generated content, a new children’s-privacy review will be performed before enabling those features.
